Gate Closure Dates - Derby Road
Last Closure Date: Sunday 2nd Sept. 2007 Approx. 9am to 6pm
- Derby Road gates are usually closed during most of the daylight hours for a day each year. When this occurs the gates - at the Peppard Road end of Derby Road - are closed and locked at around 9am on the chosen Sunday morning and reopened at about 6pm the same evening. This is carried out once a year to demonstrate our private road status.
- When Derby Road gates are locked please enter the road from the other end - entering from Grosvenor Road that can be joined from either Peppard Road or Henley Road (via the Electronically Controlled Gates).
Closures
- We plan to continue closing the iron gates at the
Peppard Road end of Derby Road, usually once a year to demonstrate to all
travellers that this is a Private Road. Gates are usually closed
on a Sunday.
- Date chosen for 2009 will be posted here following a
decision taken by the Derby Road Committee.
Checking Status of Vehicles on the Estate
- To speed up your passage via Grosvenor Road when their Residents Association stop vehicles to check their status - please apply for a free vehicle windscreen sticker.
- To obtain a windscreen sticker please use our Form or drop a note to 31 Derby Road. In either case please supply your name, address, Registration Number, make, model and colour of each vehicle you wish to be supplied with a sticker.
- In addition to residents, any regular visitor to your home may also be provided with a sticker. This sticker does not affect your rights to use Grosvenor Road but can be expected to speed up your passage on their vehicle check days.
